No worries for installation on a laptop ACER TravelMate 244 LC under XP home that train for 8 years in a closet. This laptop is connected to 2 Live Box (an old version, and a version 2) and the flow rates are not "terrible" plus 2 D-Link routers DI-524 and the DGL 4300 with the best rates as these last 2 have more of their antennas, but of 8 db to about 40 cm in height. You can get to 12k/s and some disconnection from a few seconds to a dozen of to put at the bottom of the lounge so that between the BOX Orange located in the hallway (the same for routers (D-Link) are a partition wall, carrier type concrete block... by turning/rotating the BOX (the antennas radiate differently over the vicinity of the "obstacles") you can switch from a single to a double side receipt. The same goes for the laptop when the Wifi key is "lateral" to the routers and BOX : the flow rate increases. If you want to store a bit of video spend on the 32 Gb for the price difference. A buy without hesitation.. The size of the box is the right size to house the hard disk but it is not really margin, and the pins on the hard drive are inserted half-way into the connector. However, this does not prevent the proper functioning of the hard disk. Given that there is no margin it is very difficult to subsequently remove the hard drive from the enclosure.
